With further reference to your letter of
the 7th of October No. 448279/39 and the letter from
this Department of the 22nd of October, I am directed
by Mr Secretary amery to request you to inform
Secretary ŝir 7. Joynson-Hicks that the Governor of
the Straits Settlements has now reported by telegram
that the drugs seized on the 3.5. Amazon Maru will be
shipped on the S.3. Adrastus, consigned to the Crown
Agents for the Colonies.
The Governor states that a detailed report
of the seizure is given in the summary forwarded
with 3traits Settlements despatch No. 526 of the 15th
of August, copies of which were transmitted to the
